Freedom House Freedom House has occupied the former Residential Building on the CCHFS campus at 440 Elm Place since 2003. CCHFS is privileged to support Freedom House through its use of the facilities to aid victims of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.

Freedom House provides a 24 hour safe shelter and a long term transitional shelter while victims and their children receive the resources they need including food, clothing, shelter and advocacy for counseling, legal, educational and referrals. All services are free and confidential.

Twenty five staff members, over 200 volunteers and both onsite and contracted therapists provide such services as advocacy; education to schools for topics including body safety, dating violence and more, law enforcement and others; victim advocacy at court; assistance in both levels at the shelter; counseling and support groups for children, teens and adults; hospital assistance and 24 hour crisis hotline assistance. Advocates include a juvenile advocate, therapist for adults, child advocate, legal advocates, medical advocate, transitional and emergency shelter advocates and more.
